Is success an unattainable utopia? The question is rough, but when you look at it from a little bit closer, it might just look like an impossible dream.
Success, the word that defines our modern societies. The reason people work, wake up and breathe. But, just like the american dream, is success, in its modern definition, an utopia? Or, are we, just like poets and idealists, chasing something we will never catch?
That is exactly how it feels sometimes to be an entrepreneur. We like to think of ourselves as being these thinkers, these idealists that want to change things, that are just not satisfied with the state of the world. And, as great as it feels, it is sometimes painful. It is painful to pursue your dream when people tell you to quit, when there seems to be easier routes, when everybody around you is a critic. So are we, as entrepreneurs, outcasts, outlaws?
So, before going any further, how do you define success? Is success equal to pain, is success facing critics, being an outlaw, a rebel? Yes! Is success an utopia? Is success unattainable? Yes. Because, it is not just a word or a concept. It cannot be materialized by facts, money or power. I truly believe that success is a process. This non ending road, a road that everybody is travelling on. The only difference is where do you stop? When do you say "I've had enough"? Well, an entrepreneur is a person who decides to explore it a little more, to go the extra mile, to go ahead, step by step and conquer the unconquered, visit the unvisited and define new limits.
The point is, however you define success, whatever the barriers you may put on our road. You can tell us to stop, yell, and try to discourage us. But, just like a rebel, we won't listen. We won't stop, because the road ahead is still unexplored. It is not about the money, the fame or the power. It is about the sheer conviction that things can be done differently, if not better.
But as every group of idealists going on an adventure, we need your help. Binnovart needs your help. We are looking for an incubator, support and a CTO (programmer). Do you want to share a piece of our journey with us? Jump in, there is always a place for another dreamer.
