You know what day it is? You know what day it is?
Well just a normal Thursday... Normal you say? Well not that normal for everyone. Indeed, today, the 29th of May 2014, was our first (Google hangout) interview with an incubator, let's talk about that...
We were really looking forward to this. When we got the news that they were going to interview us, well let's say we were pretty excited! The connexion wasn't amazing. It really feels like an exam. Afterwards you always have that "Oh I should have said that, and not said that, etc" moment. But all in all, we were honest about everything, and tried to defend our project. Even though, we could have been a little better, it's always very hard I think to defend and put all your heart in when over 10565 km are separating us...
But as the song goes :
"Ain't no mountain high
Ain't no valley low
Ain't no river wide enough, baby
If you need me, call me
No matter where you are
No matter how far
Just call my name
I'll be there in a hurry
You don't have to worry"
We are just super motivated to get into an incubator and, well, you get the point, ain't no mountain high enough...
The first advice we have to give to everyone trying to get into an incubator is preparation, prepare the interview, study the incubator, the city and country you are going into, etc... And it is really necessary to show that you are 100% committed to their program, and that you have no strings attached, meaning that leaving your country and family is not a problem. Then, as usual, smile, be nice and try to crack a little joke here and there, even though they probably won't laugh (it's maybe our jokes that were terrible...)
